Why would you need coffee cart catering at your event?
Let’s face it, you can’t live without coffee.
You wake up in the morning and drag yourself out of bed, and begin your normal morning routine. Maybe you’re thinking about the documents you promised you’d leave on miranda’s desk but completely forgot, or you realize in between teeth brushing and gargling that you forgot to lock your truck the night before and pray nothing was stolen. Whatever your morning routine might look like, the one constant variable between many of us is the anticipation of getting that hot (or cold) cup of aromatic, golden nectar. I am of course talking about coffee, in case one is assuming i’m referring to some other euphoria inducing beverage.
Personally I grew up not really drinking coffee most of my early teen and young adult years. You see, the coffee scene in western Massachusetts was all but non-existent in the early 2010’s. The best coffee we had was the Starbucks right across from the neighborhood salvation army. Going there was practically a sin when you had a dunkin’ donuts a block away selling drip coffee for a dollar. It wasn’t until I moved to the great west coast that I realized that getting your coffee fix at those places was the equivalent of going to get dinner date food at a dollar store. (fellas, just pay for the steak.)
After tasting my first Latte in Sacramento in a coffee shop that got it’s name from a horoscope, I realized just what kind of flavor you can get out of those little brown beans. For the guy from the small town in the northeast there was just no going back.
So, if your asking “what does this have to do with whether or not my event needs coffee?”
That’s a good question, just bear with me.
The purpose of my little rant was to stir up some old memories in you dear reader. If there’s anything i’ve learned after exploring the third wave coffee scene in California, Oregon and Washington it’s that coffee tastes good on it’s own, but it tastes even better when it’s shared. After living here for three years nothing quite raises the spirits in the middle of a long work day as when a friend asks if anyone wants to join them for a coffee run. Many meetings, events, time spent, cities explored, and memories made and all of them have in some way espresso mixed in. And now, if you asked me whether or not I believe all that money I most definitely spent on latte’s, cappuccinos, americano’s and cortado’s was worth it, I would say a resounding yes. (I’m a steak guy, what can I say.)
Now as for your wedding, corporate meeting, birthday party, you fill in the blank. Can you have this event and save some money with drip? Sure. However, I would argue nothing quite brings people together, sets you up for a day of success, and allows for quality fellowship like a good cup of coffee. Especially, if your barista actually knows what they are doing and are using delicious quality beans.
But don’t just take my word for it, taste it for yourself.
